I could see the Garlic Powder being somewhat less than black pepper weight as the garlic salt ratio is a best guess. Silver - do you think because paprika is rumoured to ruin the oil which makes sense. It was removed since that recipe. But then did they keep some type of red pepper there. Any chance the paprika listed there had some higher than thought scoville and they replaced it with some cayenne in it or, that’s when chilli pepper came in

All I know is that the Chinese analysis detected almost no capsaicin. It is the ingredient that gives all varieties of red peppers their spicy heat.

That's why KFC has gone to the Extracts in many items to save the Oil.
The extracts don't have the same effect on the Oils and make the oil last longer.
