I deep fried some Oysters. Is my oil shot due to this, or will some citric acid make it acceptable for deep frying Chicken again? The last thing I want is Chicken with an off taste due to the Oysters.

The Citric Acid helps for rancid for then other issues.
The Oil absorbing a unwanted flavor can only be determined by cooking a more flat item which will absorb more of the oil so you can take a taste and see the Oil flavor?
You will have to do a Test of the Oil for the taste to see how your oil is?
You can save that Oil for any other fish cooking down the road
I tell everyone who starts with fresh oil your first batch will taste BLAND as it will lose the seasoning flavor into the Oil.
We usually add some Herbs and Spices into the new Oil and heat it at a LOW heat and keep stirring the oil. Load the Oil with some infused flavor. OR try some wings or drumsticks with a boosted spice amount to offset your first batch.
OR try a real heavy ended Spice and Herb % mix and see what happens Go extreme like a 35% spice to Flour Mix

My wife thinks that cooking a batch of french fries in it might help clean up the flavor. Might this work?

What kind of oil are you using? I find that rapeseed oil can get a weird fish flavour sometimes. If you're using that, best avoid sharing it with fish or other seafood if possible. I must admit however I'm only speaking out of opinion and hypothetically, personally I don't share my chicken oil with anything else and I also haven't used rapeseed oil in a long time either, although I am considering returning to it.

Yes, it is well documented that KFC is currently fried in Canola Oil.
Canola Oil is Rapeseed that has been genetically modified (naturally, via selective/cross breeding) to rid it of Rapeseeds undesirable characteristics, which I believe to be acidity, rancidity, and stability related. Wherein Canola has eliminated these undesirable traits of Rapeseed.
