I was asked what was known about the salt used in the 1930's
This much I Do know from extensive research. There was very few Salt Mines in the 1930's
Only 5 Major Mines in the USA with smaller ones also BUT ONLY 5 major players. Who Did many of the smaller companies supply of salt.
CHS always spoke about Bakers Salt.
Bakers Fine Salt was Bagged By ONLY 1 Company
Colonial Salt Company of Ohio. There may have been others who sold a Bakers Salt BUT there was ONLY ONE who listed on Bags
Bakers Fine Salt it was typically sold in 100LBS and 4LBS bags
