Joe Ledington, a nephew of the colonel by marriage, while paging through a scrapbook once owned by Sanders' late wife, Claudia Sanders.

A KFC spokesman said the recipe isn't theirs. "Many people have made these claims over the years and no one has been accurate — this one isn't either," the email said. "Though, we imagine that might make some tasty fried chicken, too."
Winston Shelton
“He basically started telling me to measure 20 grams of this herb and 10 grams of that spice and so on,” Shelton says. “And when he got through, he told me it would all add up to 100 grams. Then he said I should take that and mix it with a certain amount of soft winter wheat flour and that would be it.”
Aware that he’d been given the coveted secret recipe for the Colonel’s blend of 11 herbs and spices, Shelton returned to his office and checked the Colonel’s math: The list contained only 10 ingredients and totaled just 87 grams, which Shelton found puzzling. Then, several days later, an employee called to say, “‘I just ran into the Colonel, and he said you need 13 grams of this,’” Shelton recalls. He says he called his attorney, knowing that the fabled recipe was the exclusive property of Kentucky Fried Chicken, and was advised that “I didn’t want that recipe.”
Take a look at the Claudia Sanders Recipe and calculate it to Grams and use some approximate amounts
Remember this Claudia Sanders, Ledington mixed ALL the spices when CHS was on the Road and CHS always gave instructions when Claudia had issues or ran out of spices. She said this Colonel always knew what to do.
Claudia mixed the spices to be sent out and she mixed them for other countries until there was to much to do and could not keep up, Then they hired 1 spice company to blend the spices NOT 2 companies, as they say NOW.
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Black Pepper Ground
3 tbsp White Pepper Ground
½ tbsp Basil
½ tbsp Oregano
½ tbsp Thyme
1 tbsp Celery salt
1 tbsp Ginger powder
1 tbsp Mustard powder
2 tbsp Garlic powder
4 tbsp Paprika
15.5 tbsp or 15.5 teaspoon depends on what you feel the T’s represented
I have said this many times this is NOT the Original Recipe it cannot be the Original Celery Salt was NOT available on the shelves in 1939. BUT Celery Seed was
All a recipe needs is 1 inaccurate part and KFC can say its not the Original Recipe and they are right they don’t have to say what’s wrong or anything else BUT in THIS case they did say something
this one isn't either," the email said. "Though, we imagine that might make some tasty fried chicken, too." KFC had slogan Tasty Chicken for many years until Finger lickin Good Chicken
CHS use to say he made tasty fried chicken and then he said he made the Best Fried Chicken you ever had AFTER he added MSG
I have asked around 30 People if they tried a variation of this Recipe and only 1 tried it everyone relies On Glen & Friends or others Make the recipe and test it there are many who say it has similar flavor to KFC.
So Do some math compare it to the Winston amounts and also use Tellicherry Pepper, which is Key to the OR Recipe.
BUT understand this YOU ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE THE SAME OR SIMILAR taste as KFC New Age Corporation Chicken NOW. I think if you listen to ANY You Tube video comparing the recipe to NOW CHICKEN its NOT the same BUT if you go to China, Canada, USA, Philippines NOW they are ALL different to each other.
I await your responses
