If your using the Sage I don't think you need oregano sage needs to be higher then the Coriander. Sweet Basil is a great item I have an interesting story to tell about Sweet Basil, which was used not very long ago in my cooked Recipe #9, wherein I added no Allspice or Clove, substituting Basil instead, and then commented that it had zero note after we ate it. Here is my story: About an hour ago my wife stated that she will be making Spaghetti today. It was then that I spoke up and asked her to add some Sweet Basil to the tomato based sauce. Her immediate reply was that we don't have any Basil. Hearing that, I rummaged through our H&S cabinet and then handed her a container of Basil. She replied: "That's not Basil. It's Italian Seasoning mix.". She then revealed that some time ago she ran out of Basil, and at the same moment had a large container of Italian Seasoning Mix that had only enough remaining within it to about fill the empty Basil container, so that's exactly what she did, whereby she tossed out the large but empty Italian Seasoning Mix container, and then placed the "Basil" container back in the spice cabinet. The intent was to save space. The moral of the story is that I've yet to use Basil, despite thinking that I had. Whereby I wrote it off as yet another note delivering failure...

I went back over some of my previous recipes and I charted them out beside each other to see where I was splitting hairs on an ingredient or 2. I also looked at 3 or 4 highly rated recipes from the various forums. And as suspected it really becomes moving .05g of this to .05g of that for me at this point. I'm sure I have locked myself into a pattern at this point. And there appears to be similarities where I end up setting amounts to where others ended up. Either matching or a .05g difference. I agree with others on here that until someone finds the "missing" ingredient or method that reveals a huge gain. It probably is a game of diminishing returns. It's like Savory, rosemary, thyme, marjoram, oregano. The correct answer is likely in the right ratios. All of the above can work in any combination you choose. Rosemary is stronger than savory. Ok use less. Marjoram weaker than Oregano. Ok use more. But in the final mix, I don't think it really changes things. Ingredients we may not use like as Silver mentions Basil. Or I had great luck with Cardamom. May change the game So for me I have locked down all the ingredients in what I am thinking would be my final cook of the usual suspects. Which doesn't mean I may not start cooking items not found in the mainstream recipes. For my final recipe I am down to trying to decode the weight ratio of Sage, Coriander and Ginger only. Everything else is going to stay put. There has been some discussion lately on which comes first. Recipes like glen's and a few older ones sage gets driven far down the list. Other's like "Earl's" from Glen's video sage was the highest. I have a couple recipe's that were talked about favorably where Ginger is the highest. Some discussion happened on another forum about ginger being moved down the list. Figuring these 3 out is it for me. I lean towards coriander being the lowest TBH
