CrazyForChicken so your agreeing Brine is a MUST for better chicken Taste ? Yes, brine is a must. Not only for flavor, it also softens the bones/gristle just like KFC does. cfc

Last chance for Allspice? Fully 40 Ounce bag compliant.

I'm not counting the above recipe out. At 1.50 grams, the Allspice should be delivering the Eugenol equivalent of about 0.25 to 0.30 grams of Clove. Plus additionally some quantifiably unknown, yet 'nominally' purported to be 'flavor equivalents' of Nutmeg and Cinnamon.
Plus, just as for Grace's recipe (as seen on Glen and Friends Cooking) it places Allspice at the very top of the H&S pecking order, and it has no Clove.

Also remember on the bagged late 70’s Chicken Seasoning the nephew had. Allspice was listed right after Sage which took the highest non salt, pepper spot. This would have been the timeframe he was promoting an MK seasoning in the Canadian stores. May not be too many degrees of separation between what he gave to Grace’s and told/worked with MK on

Silver recipe Amazing Super Duper Lip smacking wings.
This was the last recipe we cooked on Wednesday.
Sorry for the poor photos and steamy photo.
The Chicken was a Great success we made Wings with the Recipe it had a Great flavor to it. The Breading stuck amazing BUT also understand the WINGS were Brined over night and pre-dusted with flour prior to the Milk n Egg Warsh then seasoned flour.

The wings had a Great Taste and like many other recipes Always go down Great.
I have to take time and tweak the recipe it was very good and had Great potential BUT the Sweet 16 was one of the Better ones tested in a long time.
This recipe is a respectful recipe and has some hits and taste of KFC. Flavor
I think pre seasoning the Wings with some spice and Herbs may be a better way to get more Flavor to the bones as the seasoning will get more PPM to the chicken then in the Flour.

So would you say that a licorice source is not needed?
Which of the Ultimate 6 series did you cook?
6, 6A, 6B, 6C, 6D, 6E, or 6F?

I'm Not saying that Licorice is NOT needed.
I think that the Ginger is underplayed because people are using the Wrong Ginger or Ginger Powder ?
Personally I think the Story from the Days when C.H.S. made the Comment THEY ARE USING CRAP GINGER and Dave W indicated they added More Ginger is a KEY part missing by many.
