flg, was the real KFC chicken highly salty? I rarely seem to achieve the level of saltiness in my own recipes that I get when eating real KFC.

I really believe any "note" you smell know is chemicals. As the note taste isn't there and the strength of the smell is not there.
Anyone over the age of 55 should remember you could smell a KFC at least 1/2 block away most times.

After lacing the last of my re-heated Recipe #14 Chicken pieces with extra MSG (sprinkled on rather liberally) and Salt, and being greeted with the delicious taste of the note thereby, I was inspired to derive this potential recipe #15 revision. The MSG level is not a typo. Comments are welcome.

Many say that 7 is a lucky number. Therefore, Revision #7 of my proposed recipe for cook session #15: Edit: If this one doesn't hit the note I may just have to wave the white flag and surrender.

This one is not officially melding yet, because I'm still waiting for the Mace I ordered on Amazon to arrive. Everything from the Mace on down is intended to replace 1 gram of Allspice.

Hopefully by adding only 0.10 grams of Clove I will avoid the annoying Clove aftertaste while still bringing in a bit of Eugenol. 0.10 grams of Clove should be the nominal Eugenol equivalent of 0.50 grams of Allspice.
Edit: Mace, Nutmeg, and Cinnamon may also deliver small amounts of Eugenol.
Edit #2: If you want this (my most recent recipe as posted above) to sum to 11 H&S, simply replace Mace, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and Clove with 1 gram of Allspice.
Edit #3: If you don't have Savory, replace the 0.50 grams of Savory with 0.30 grams of Thyme.
