deepfriednew101 That recipe would suggest that a seasoning salt at one point could have been in play. Celery/Garlic/Onion of some description. I kind of remember someone mentioning maybe it was Morton's that had a seasonall product back then? Lowrey's is popular here in Canada but there is lots of other ingredients in it.

My Seasoned Salt Recipe (the Family loves it, and agrees that it's better than Lawry's)
1⁄4 cup Baker's salt 2-1⁄3 teaspoons dextrose powder (corn sugar) 1 teaspoon cornstarch 1 tablespoon celery salt 2 teaspoons mild paprika 1 teaspoon onion powder 2/3 teaspoon garlic powder 2/3 teaspoon ground turmeric 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/8 teaspoon maltodextrin powder 1/16 teaspoon MSG
Makes ~4 ounces
Edit: It's a family favorite when sprinkled over buttered mashed potatoes.
Edit again: 2-1/3 TSP of powdered Dextrose is about the sweetness equivalent of 2 TSP of granulated table sugar.
After all ingredients are combined I pulse it for only about 2-3 seconds in a coffee grinder.

Yes Morton's was a Key Supplier to CHS.
I will be detailing SOMETHING very interesting as soon as I can Find the KFC MUSEUM photo from the USA
I will detail and reveal what may or may not be CSI work to SHOW the ingredients to the Original.
I will show that the Items in the Museum were changed in reference to Photos from CHS own Private collection BUT in my mind NO different then Leon who had the spices CHS used in Salt Lake City. CHS Original Photos will lead the answer to the Best Hospitality Chicken

Melding for tonight's cook if all goes well. Made a slight change to 2 weights. But largely as posted. Biggest thing I've done as I deep fry is I'm marinating the chicken in some of my seasoning. Probably 1.5 TBLS of seasoning into 2 cups of water. I have used Salt, MSG and Garlic in the past so this is the first time using the full seasoning.
