I have posted before about Walton's Television show from 1972 having KFC Chicken on the show. The Old cast has confirmed that they had KFC 2 times a week at the sow for the Kids to eat and staff.
They also disclosed that ALL the Chicken and many side dishes that they ate when they were eating on AIR shots were KFC supplied food as they ONLY had a small Kitchen area to store and prepare the Food for the show which was on the backside of the Kitchen shown on TV.
They have said that they shot ALL the food related scenes over a two day time period when they needed more food scenes around the table. Only 2 Turkeys or Beef Roast were continually used when they needed multiple shots and they would take different scenes with the same Turkey or Beef and never cut it until they were done the first scenes with whole un cut turkey or beef then they did different shots where it was carved.
The KFC chicken and Side dishes were used more where they wanted eating shots and when they were having the meal.
Colonel H Sanders also was on 1 episode of the TV show where he played a restaurant owner who was going to franchise a restaurant.
why do I bring this point up. The Staff said the kids loved the reddish color chicken and taste, it was one of the few things they ate instead of playing with the food.
