EXTRACT's of Herbs can be Listed as Natural ingredient's and Do Not have to be counted as a Herb for Higher or Highest first listing laws as they are a Safe item and than listed as a Natural Ingredient yes the Company can still than say the Original items are in the Recipe BUT they Do NOT have to disclose it's a extract

Herbs play little to no part in evolving the unique flavor essence of a KFC_OR_Like deep fried Chicken. You can fiddle with Herbs until the cows come home and you won't make any advancement toward grasping the brass ring. I can only think that continuing efforts to involve Herbs seems somehow naive (or worse).

I Guess if it DID NOT make a difference we would be talking about 11 Secret Spices in the original KFC Chicken.
while I Agree that Herbs give a unique Flavor profile and Taste in ANY Poultry Cooking
Spies and Seasoning have another level of Flavor and Aroma than the Herbs
Rosemary, Sage, Oregano are Three Key ingrediencies in Original KFC Any one disputing that They These herbs are NOT in the KFC obviously has other valued opinion I will just say this long before the spices were added to Poultry, Sausage, Stuffing Herbs were used as the Main Flavor and Aroma to all 3
A easy experiment is many a Grave two amounts with the same Base stock and in 1/2 of the Amount you make add Rosemary, Sage, Oregano in the second portion cook it and Tell us if there is a difference between Gravy with or without HERBS
