deepfriednew101, The question is: How are you related to Barney Gelfand? But you knew that. Carry on with your obfuscations. Correct. And where was the second location in Calgary that his family was involved in?

Silver here is the ironic thing. If DFN101 is related be it nephew, cousin, etc. Then I have more faith he may have a handwritten recipe. Given the other early franchise families that admit they have a recipe from CHS. I could buy that Barney had one. Here is the real kicker. Since Barney sold out in 1971. If Barney has a recipe it may predate the MK variant that CHS was handing out in the 70’s to Pat and Winston etc. I am actually tossing him a life line

I am actually tossing him a life line But he can only stake a valid claim to your lifeline if he bones up about his relations. And I would add if he stops his endless obfuscations and lies.

I see only three possibilities. (1) He has the recipe, which begs the questions: "What the heck is he doing here"? Why is he allegedly trying to lead us to the OR with hints, as the Gambler once did"? (2) He was close to the action at one time, and has clues to the OR, but never quite figured it out, and needs us to research for him. (3) Complete charlatan who has researched CHS history enough, as a fortune teller does, to appear as one in touch with the truth, so as to mislead all.

What a clown! Ok, for those that do some homework. And another freebie for the Fried One. There is a bit of overlap in answering this question. Barney Gelfand and family claim it was them in Calgary Alberta. To which they where up and running in 1956. However, Joe Young's family in Saskatoon claim it was them. To which they where up and running in 1955. It appears KFC corporation support Joe's claim. It is rumored that both Joe and Barney were serving KFC a bit prior to those dates. So it likely comes down to who "signed" first. Who was fully operational and perhaps who got a jump on selling before the ink was penned. Another Freebie for you DFN101. So I'm now 3-0 up on DF

You Don't Know Crap Your So Far behind on knowledge YOU cannot even Answer a Simple Question When C.H.S. came to Canada and set up a Franchise LMAO
Barney Was the First it was NOT Joe Young
Joe young was the 3rd Canadian Company NOT the number 1, or no. 2
BUT Joe was One of the Original who Started building a Stand alone Bucket Building. (there were 3 Bucket building being build All in the Same Year in Western Canada)
Back in the Day they were ALL serving Col Fried Chicken from there own locations NONE were stand along K.F.C. Locations with the Flagship of the Bucket K.F.C.
Joe young was One of the Original Members of the Men and Women who Formed part of the Charitable organization C.H.S. started up.
So Again What Year Did C.H.S. come to Canada and Franchise a Location ? You still have NOT answered the Question LMAO Your batting Zero on the Answer
