We tried a experiment recently with the Claudia Recipe which was referenced as Claudia's by JOE L.
Joe Ledington, the nephew, Gave this recipe to the Chicago News Paper
YES OLD NEWS
11 spices — Mix with 2 cups white flour
1. 2/3 Ts salt
2. 1/2 Ts thyme
3. 1/2 Ts basil
4. 1/3 Ts oregano
5. 1 Ts celery salt
6. 1 Ts black pepper
7. 1 Ts dried mustard
8. 4 Ts paprika
9. 2 Ts garlic salt
10. 1 Ts ground ginger
11. 3 Ts white pepper
We made this Recipe as above and also 3 different versions from what People who cooked with C.H.S. knows He would have done
We took Tons of Still Photo's of the items to compare with each other and Video six hours of making the different cooking attempts also of Ela Recipe.
I Had NO reason to Do this experiment ZERO need to BUT the Group I was with wanted to ONCE and FOR ALL answer questions regarding the Two different Recipes
The Two recipes were started as Below. Trying to Make them as uniform as possible with Same flour ration to mix and evaluate Tablespoons of seasoning to Flour ratio for easy reference.

2 Cups Flour
4 TBSP. Paprika 25%
1 TBSP. Salt 6.4%
3 TBSP. Pepper White 19.3%
1 TBSP. Pepper Black 6.4%
2 TBSP. Garlic Powder 12.9%
1 TBSP. Celery Powder 6.4%
1 TBSP. Ginger Powder 6.4%
1 TBSP. Mustard Powder 6.4%
½ TBSP. Basil 3.2%
½ TBSP. Oregano 3.2%
½ TBSP. Thyme 3.2%
15.5 TBSP 100%
31 TBSP for 4 Cups Flour
4 Cups Flour
8 TBSP. Paprika 33%
6 Tbsp. MSG 25%
2 TBSP. Black Pepper 8.3%
2 TBSP. Celery Salt 8.3%
2 TBSP. Mustard Dry 8.3%
4 tsp Garlic Salt 4.5%
2 tsp. Ginger 2.5%
1 tsp. Salt 2.5%
1 tsp. Thyme 2.5%
1 tsp. Basil 2.5%
1 tsp. Oregano 2.5%
24 TBSP. 100%
I will Up Load the Photo's which shows what the chicken turned out like
This will also SHOW a reference of what Paprika Does to Oil as the Oil Color changed to a Red color and effected the Color of the Cooked Chicken also
Again I had NO need to Do this experiment as I tried them ALL a Long time ago BUT others though it was a Good thing to Do and put a end to what the recipes are like
ALL the spices we used were obtained from a Major Spice Company and were Fresh Spices all recipes were measure and weighted BY more than one person also for accuracy. Temperatures that were used followed C.H.S. cooking methods and exact times were used in ALL attempts.
