11 Spices and Herbs or More ?
A Key Question that is being asked of People who have been around C.H.S. and the K.F.C. Franchise is Do they Think there is ONLY 11 Spices and Herbs or 11 Herbs and Spices or is there more than 11 secret ingredients. If they think there is More what makes them say that there is More than the 11 secret Ingredients.
Currently the Overwhelming answer is that More than 11 spices and herbs are in the Mix.
A Question also asked in Do they Believe the Spices and Herbs were All individual spices and Herbs or is there Blended seasoning also ( Poultry or chili seasoning example)
Please Post your thought

Italian seasoning, poultry seasoning, pumpkin pie spice.
The 11 herbs and spices modify the 3 mixes and the black pepper, salt and MSG.
It all depended if the mixes were more economical to buy pre-mixed than buy the spices individually. CHS had to make a profit for his business to survive.

All I know, without harelipping the Pope, is that there aren't 11 of anything in my 1998 and 2016 KFC seasoning bags.

I'll offer my opinion: KFC OR does not taste like Italian spices at all, and it never has.

Another of my opinions: Deriving the note of KFC is never going to be achieved by consensus, as science does not involve consensus, but rather breaking free from consensus and traveling a non-consensus path. If anyone tells you that the consensus of science is this or that (such as for man made global warming), it is a clear signal to steer clear, and even to run away.

The bottom line here is: Why is the man who claims that he knows the actual recipe asking those of us who don't know it for opinions leading to consensus as to ANYTHING associated with a recipe for which he has told us definitively that he will not reveal? He knows that this ruse of his is a total farce and time wasting dead end circle-jerk, but if he is a plant, this is his opportunity to walk us straight into an ongoing yet never ending series of dead ends, knowing that each of us has only so long to live and that we will run out of life before we vote ourselves into the recipe via non-scientific consensus.
Again, I must ask: What's in this forum participation for him (or her)? Think about it. The only logical conclusion is a motivation to promote a never ending series of deceptive dead ends for us. This must be by design.

This must be by design. Why would he claim to have bags from Egypt. That we have already done some work on. Post the clear written english ingredients. Claim the ingredients came from a translator. When I have shown that the Arabic words translate differently?
ATTENTION is the answer and throwing more bait on for poor folks like cman to gobble up.

I have been on this forum for nearly 3 years and as a guest for much longer. He has been the same since he was booted off Ken's forum. Same stories millions of times with twists and turns. No real proof of much, claims has recipe. And I am 100% OK with him not sharing. But why post like this, reposts same topics over and over again. Leads on any new comer until they finally figure him out like the rest of us.
The list of ingredients he claims are in has to be approaching the mid 30's by now.

lol ..Flg where’s your dignity! I am letting DFN101 give all his information this or any forum. What he says may or may not influence me. I alone will decide if what he (or you) opines on the recipe that I’m working on. Yes, I know it’s suppose to be a shared classroom project: but I think all of us have a multitude of recipes in various stages. Having one say their piece what any good interviewer or detective does. You do not shut off someone who is purporting to give information. It is up to you to decide where he trips up if he is indeed misleading you. It’s up to you whether you take the role of the mouse or the cat. But why turn this into an animal show, right?
I , for one, hopes that DFN101, keeps giving more information. He satisfies some of my curiosities more than not. But now, there is a new intrigue that all of you pose. But still, nothing here has a bearing on my life. Nor it affects my life. Probably yours? Nor it affects other projects I’m working on. Some in tech.
I came to this forum looking for information why a mix becomes rancid or decays. If you have the answer, one of life’s mysteries is answered!! On the way, a bunch of people are looking for some recipe.

I came to this forum looking for information why a mix becomes rancid or decays. If you have the answer, one of life’s mysteries is answered!! Your spice blend goes rancid and decays? What is the scenario, melding mix, leftover mixed in flour? Dark cool place, in a fridge, out in the open? And how much time does this take. I have a small container with probably 3 tablespoons of seasoned flour. I put this recipe together and cooked the original on Jan 14th. I just used a rounded teaspoon to cook an experiment on Feb 8th. If anything I felt it was a tad better. Nothing special, quality sealed container. Which has a good snap on lid as I fight to get it off. Other than that it's hung out at the back of my counter for that time. I have found loss if you try to just store in a zip lock bag.
What I can add is sometimes I have had a seemingly well balanced melding mix. That smells like I think it should. But a couple days later when you go to cook. It takes on a "floral" smell. Or that is the best I can describe it. when that happens. I know I have some ingredients higher than they should be. If after a couple days melding the mix smells like it did day 1 and sometimes a little bit stronger. I know it will be a good cook.
Any more info?
