Why Did KFC Old Documents that were Mandatory to Public Change From:
Contains Egg, Milk, Celery, Mustard
Contains Egg, Milk, May Contain Celery, Mustard
I Do Not need to BE told that it's because Cross Contamination so they have to list MAY contain
It Originally LIST Contains Celery, Mustard and Back in that time period it also had to list if it MAY CONTAIN - It was LISTED AS CONTAINS Celery, Mustard NO MISTAKE no Cross Contamination

For once I would agree. I feel MAY and contains to mean how they are written.

Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence. There is a complete lack of same for Celery and Mustard. Only hearsay.

This is One of the Examples I have posted in the Past as a NEW AGE KFC, where it was changed to May Contain

Warnings such as this almost inevitably derive from the same processing equipment being used, and not due to the Chicken recipe being such that it may contain Celery and Mustard one day, and may not the next day, depending upon someones corporate mood.
Provide certified "it definitively contains" evidence please...

Silver Best I can find is a couple European Allergen lists. That currently list contains. Englands used to, I have a copy of that I think from around 2009 maybe. Now theirs does not state contains. One thing I find a bit interesting. Is one of the European allergen sheets. Translates to they guarantee the use of the original 11 herbs and spices. And that one does say contains as of last month when I checked. Here in Canada for sure there is no statement guaranteeing the original 11 herbs and spices are used. And also no mustard or celery listed. Odd and circumstantial

OK, so thanks to flg, it sounds like Celery and Mustard were very likely part of the OR. But I can't see how that definitively pushes the ingredients list to 15-16. Add i to my latest 5 ingredients beyond B&W Pepper recipe and it only comes to 9. And Garlic makes 10.

I want to consider what mackerbryanee14 posted in his blog about mustard. I also don't think mustard was for flavor, it had another purpose. He thinks getting the right skin consistency. Because it doesn't in my opinion affect the note. It was likely dropped by MK and by extension Karl. I think Bill felt it wasn't contributing to flavor so out it went. Just my thoughts as of recently.
Celery is a whole different beast so my question to myself is why does it today not seem to appear in 99x or Grace's and likely hasn't? Specially IF it was a key to flavor. This I am still pondering

Celery may be problematic in the UK (as an allergen), but AFAICT it isn't problematic anywhere else. It seems to be in lots of current food products.
