A fake Tarragon that is said to rival French Tarragon for flavor, including it's licorice notes. It's actually in the Marigold family. Tagetes lucida

Another name for Mexican Tarragon (oddly enough) is 'Sweet Mace'.

I grew it. It is tarragon like, but a little bitter with an aftertaste.

I grew it. It is tarragon like, but a little bitter with an aftertaste. It's probably similar to when I got all excited about Lovage being hyped as a better Celery than Celery. We grew it, ate it, and found it somewhat Celery like, but bitter. A letdown.
