I recall that long pepper was discussed some time back, but I don't remember what the results were. Quite a bit is imported, but the buyers have been difficult to ascertain. Has anyone tried it?

I must live a sheltered life. For example, it's been about 24 years since we had a Television. This is the first time I've ever heard of Long Pepper. It sounds Oriental.

Long pepper tastes and smells so intense, that it completely scared me off. Someone else here also described that it would ruin every recipe even in small quantities. Think of Pepper, Allspice and Cinnamon. Now this might sound good, but it's more like having a date with a beautiful woman and instead of that beautiful woman her ugly sister shows ups.
