Sweet Galium is supposed to be a substitute for vanilla. Has anyone tried it?

We have tried it in Other Recipes as a Vanilla replacer on the recommendation of R&D from a spice company with baking.
when we tried it as a direct replacer at 1:1 ratio experiment. We found it was a more earth tone flavor and less sweet which some people enjoyed
Personally we have used it More as a Blended item with Vanilla 50/50 mix to change the artificial Vanilla Extract we use as the mix makes it less artificial tasting with the Sweet Galium. Its all a cost thing also as the Cost for real spices and herbs is Jumping higher and higher $
We Do Not Use it much in Fried Chicken just person flavor for the Fried chicken we stay more to the Herbs typically

Sweet Galium is supposed to be a substitute for vanilla. Has anyone tried it? Sweet Galium contains coumarin. I found this about coumarin: This doesn't likely seem to be an ingredient found within KFC OR.

Coumarin is a blood thinner similar to warfarin. It causes platelets to fail to function.

Back down the super wide vanilla rabbit hole. Kind of like dangling a carrot on a pole in front of a donkey.

But the Coumarin level in Cassia Cinnamon, which you have been promoting in various recipes, is more than 30% higher than in Sweet Woodruff. deepfriednew101 Thank you for the feedback. Doesn't sound like a must-have then.

Back down the super wide vanilla rabbit hole. Kind of like dangling a carrot on a pole in front of a donkey. Vanilla is in the recipe. But it alone is not going to get you the O.R, it will only get you maybe 5% of the way there. You still need to have all the other ones correct and in right ratios. That's why i don't mind revealing it is in the recipe because i know it alone is nowhere near enough for you to crack the recipe. For example, simply adding vanilla to the "leaked" recipe is not going to suddenly turn it into "omg this is the O.R"
