I wonder how much extracts could add to that medicinal smell?

Here is something OVERLOOKED
Mix Sage LEAVED Fresh Ground with With and Black Pepper
See if you Get a HEAT - Sage is NOT a Lower volume
Red Sweet Pepper and or Cayenne will kick the heat WHIC make up 90% of chili pre-Made Rubs also
the Bag They had was Later years NOT herb Flecks True.
Paprika was also the reason Oil Discolored at THAT TIME.
The Black and White Pepper were used back then more then Current due to extracts also.
Spice For Thought

Bay leaves definitely makes my recipes much closer. I've said before there is a eucalyptus profile going on in the recipe. Could be from cardamom, bay leaves, and even cubeb pepper.

Bay Leaf 'may'(?) sit in the position which I generally reserve for Anise Seed, albeit likely at a lower quantity. WARNING: Apparently Bay Leaves, even when cooked, and even when insufficiently ground, can do serious damage to the esophagus. They can only be safely consumed as a very fine powder, and you likely can't grind them fine enough to be safe with the use of a coffee grinder. But finely ground Bay Leaf is available for purchase. www.spicejungle.com/ground-bay-leaves

A recipe for a homemade 'Old Bay Seasoning' (like) clone. Looks interesting. Ingredients 2 teaspoons paprika 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon celery salt 1 teaspoon ground mustard 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 teaspoon ground bay leaves 1/2 teaspoon fine salt 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika 1/4 teaspoon allspice 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon cardamom 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Edit: Conflate the Paprika and Smoked Paprika into a single ingredient, and don't count the salt, and it sums to 11 H&S.

I have three bags of KFC seasoning, one from 1998, and nobody has inquired from me what I detected in them. Of course, since none of theme contain the ingredients used by CHS when he cooked for Pete Harman, it doesn't matter. I did not detect the things I just read about.

Since your detection does not match with Dustin's, what are you detecting please?
