There seems to Be some confusion regarding how KFC Evolved.
Prior to the Chicken being cooked which was Slow and Hard to make C.H.S. had Country Style Ham and Steak, then He made Chicken.
In 1939/1940 the 11 Spices and Herbs were developed. C.H.S. worked on the Pressure Cooker which he was using in combination with the Pressure Cooker.
What people FAIL to Understand is after the 1940's there was a TIME LAPSE where C.H.S. was working Running Government Cafeteria and other Locations and NOT cooking in HIS OWN Cafe', then there were 2 C.H.S. Locations.
1955 C.H.S. cooks for Noe Boat launch, The Cumberland Boat 500 chicken catering which was C.H.S. Largest chicken Order of that time.
C.H.S. Teams up with Leon Pete Harmon. Salt Lake City.
C.H.S. sells out to Brown and Massey BUT retains Areas Canada, UK, Montana, Florida, Utah. (Canada then becomes a Charitable Organization Run By 5 Franchise owners. C.H.S. and family run Florida, Pete Harmon and Family Run Utah and Montana, Pat runs the UK - Now Graces's Perfect Blend. Marion Kay starts making spices FOR C.H.S. ONLY not the other locations owned By Brown and Massey.
Prior to Buying K.F.C. from C.H.S. Brown and Massey Purchased the BBQ Franchise that C.H.S. was developing Porky Pig, 1 year later Brown and Massey Purchase K.F.C. then in the 1970 Brown and Massey OPEN Kentucky Beef in Las Vegas and other locations. BY THE Porky Pig was closed or ONLY a few locations
Marion kay Bill S was approached By some Franchises who were under Brown and Massey Retention and NOT C.H.S. they requested authorization to Purchase the Marion Kay Chicken Seasoning. THEY WERE INSTRUCTED NOT TO USE MARION KAY and Bill S and Marion kay were issued a cease and desist Letter to Stop selling spices to the BROWN AND MASSEY Owned Stores.
Brown and Massey could NOT stop C.H.S. locations from using the Marion kay Until after C.H.S Passed Away
so Flow Chart would read
Kentucky Fried Chicken Porky Pig - which sold K.F.C. Chicken also Kentucky Beef

In 1939/1940 the 11 Spices and Herbs were developed. I'm still looking for reference to this. As for what I have found. NOT FACT. He had around 10 ingredients we was using. No reference ever to 11 in 1939 or 1940. Please guide me to this in writing. Links to documents or interviews not CORP advertising which means nothing!

I think there are 6589 KFC World Wide Now in 2023 may be more or less BUT they ALL have the following On web or in store. Do you NOT think that the the last 50 or 60 Years where it has been Printed is enough and C.H.S Saying he developed the Spices and Herbs Prior to the Pressure Pots. Many are assessing the ides that one video where C.H.S says he has Approximately 10 Spices before the Boat Time. ALSO look back at this Leon Pete Harmon was working with 11 Spices and Herbs, which C.H.S. was pushing for years. BUT if people want to keep Guessing about 10 or 11 I guess Start a law Suit against KFC NEW AGE and get laughed out of the Court when they SAY ALL the stores WORLD WIDE show the 1939/1940 Time period for 60 years of continual advertising. Read the 1966 Court Case between Famous Fried chicken and KFC, or the Marion Kay Court Case and Pats Fried chicken Court Case.

I have no problem accepting and have read around 1952-1955 is when the 11 concept was coming from CHS. It could be Pete started that too. Lots of wiggle room to say KFC from 1939 and have the 11 on the same ad. Doesn't imply a mutual inclusive statement to me.
I posted reference to him saying in his autobiography he had up-to around 10 ingredients before the boat trip. I can share the link if you'd like to read the book. I copied direct from it to save you time.

Personally I have viewed More Documents then Most people, over 4 or 5 Decades.
I have More Canadian Articles, All the Court Cases, and Interviews C.H.S. did over his lifetime, going back to the original 30 first TV Interviews he did while employed by Brown and Massey
His autobiography say about 10 ingredients YES.
Everyone Can believe what they want. I will Stand on the Premises that KFC NEW AGE are NO Fools and when they have continued the SAME Posting since 1939/1940 THEY obviously stand on that Ground 11 Herbs and Spices. Hey BUT The court case with Huebin was about changing items and spices and herbs that were part of the Original Sales Agreement which tied the recipe back to 1939/1940
Like John Brown said there are 11 Basic Ingredients in the 11 Herbs and Spices. Bill S. also said that with HOW much spice KFC Needs for ALL the Locations there is NO way they can get all that they need. Durkee's and other Spices companies have posted that KFC is over 25 to 40% of there TOTAL SALES. McCormick Calgary 2023 has a Facility which ONLY mixes KFC spices for Western Canada and Export.

You kind of left out a few dates. In 1951, CHS met Pete at a food convention. In 1952, CHS cooked his chicken for Pete in Utah, just before he headed to Australia on a religious retreat to quit cussing. When he returned, Pete had already reverse engineered the "OR", and had already used the phrase "Kentucky Fried Chicken". CHS said GD.....! By the way, that was several years prior to the Cumberland Boat order, according to your timeline. This is the issue Ken and I often debated. Which came first? You back my views. Thanks.

Yes Leon Pete Harmon was involved in 1952
Peter Harmon always stated 11 Spices and Herbs
The Cumberland Lake Boat Dock was owned By Noe and he was having a Major Opening for the Large Boat Dock WHICH would make sense that the MSG was the Item added as Peter Harmon already was using the 11 Spices and Herbs for years. ?
