The compositions vary heavily within the same plant. Just like any other herb. But based on a more general essential oil comparison, the closest herb to Lippia will be Summer Savory, followed by Mediterranean Oregano. Since there is at least some evidence for Savory, I would set the whole Lippia idea aside if you asked me. Lippia will definitely not replace Sage.

If it hair lips the Pope, some of these ingredients will always be accepted. KFC said that there would be some surprises if we knew the OR. I don't see anything surprising with the same old ingredients being used over and over, year after year. I'm still waiting for a recipe that will wow me. My last one was very close to what I remember, but if I posted it, the crickets would have to work overtime.
Adam - "Wow, multiples. I may have to look into this". Bob - "You can't prove anything about multiples. What a crock. Waste of time."
"Watch as the mist of time is lifting; see it rising in the air, like the shadow I was chasing, when I looked it wasn't there."

Since there is at least some evidence for Savory, I would set the whole Lippia idea aside if you asked me. Lippia will definitely not replace Sage. But in my opinion Summer Savory doesn't have any of Mexican Oregano's citrus or cilantro leaf like flavor and aroma characteristics, and despite the Carvacrol, I don't directly detect Oregano in my Summer Savory (which must be on the low end for Carvacrol). That said, my best recipes to date have featured a combination of exclusively Sage and Summer Savory. And as such, I find it interesting that Grace's contains no Summer Savory.
My lot of Mexican Oregano is bursting with Oregano. And I'm on record as stating that I really can't say that I can taste Oregano in KFC OR. As can be seen from your chart, the average Mexican Oregano has loads more Carvacrol in it than the average for both Summer Savory and Oregano. And Carvacrol is the oil that best defines Oregano. So with that in mind, 0.50 grams of Mexican Oregano may be overboard in Oregano nature. And thus you may be spot on in suggesting that Mexican Oregano be abandoned. But in the end there's only one way to find out what it accomplishes, and that's to give it a try.

Willie:
That comment: "that People would be surprise about a ingredient" was coined by C.H.S.
C.H.S. said People would be surprise about his dessert ingredient and his mint Juilper.
People would be surprised about Mustard and Cinnamon or Ginger in a recipe

"Watch as the mist of time is lifting; see it rising in the air, like the shadow I was chasing, when I looked it wasn't there." When KFC made that statement, they surely weren't referring to the 'same old ingredients' we use on the forums. So whatever 'surprise' means, it does not mean we are wrong. Items like Cinnamon, Cardamom or Orange Peel are enough of a surprise for the average Joe. They are addressing a broader audience. Feel free to wow us with a multiples recipe when you are convinced of it. I will give it a try if I have the ingredients, not asking for any proof or tin.

Keep chugging on. Marjoram; up a little, down a little, up a little more, use none, use a lot, use a little, up a little, down a little, up a little.....and on and on and on.
You're wrong. It was KFC that commented about the "surprises". If I made up a statement about someone's comment, you'd swear it was someone else that said it, when in fact I was lying all along. chirp-chirp-chirp-chirp.

I have a powerful "multiples" recipe drawn up, but a big tree fell on my house this morning. I will be out of action for awhile. I have photos if need be.
