We Test Spices From All over the World and have a Budget Cannon for New Spices we Try monthly. I have a Budget to Order NEW spice to try and Have Done this for Decades of Cooking The New arrival just arrived after a month order time period. Ingredient List: Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Marjoram, Savory The Aroma is Very High and One that is More then ever experienced in many Herb Blends WHY Do we Test so many items its always Great to see what Mix has better flavor and then why ?    |

I do the same thing. I have bough many different herbs/spices just to check them out because you cannot have an idea if they will work unless you actually taste/smell it in person. Most recently i got cubeb pepper, juniper berries, black mustard seed.

The Cubeb Pepper has a eucalypt kick and needs to be cut with Pepper or has that bite after taste.
Juniper Berries are Great with certain flavor also NOT like any other.
Mustard Seeds of any color all work
if I had to answer a question are Cubeb Pepper or Juniper Berries in the O.R. I cannot see them fitting the recipe with limits of 11 Spices and Herbs either don't fit. (Do they work for a different taste chicken wings YES as for O.R. does NOT meet my List)
Mustard Fits the O.R. Yes
