I was asked in Grace's Perfect Blend was in Canada
NO it is NOT available in Canada and currently available in the USA and Head Office orders.
My understanding from the last contact with Karl was they were looking into Canada BUT it was NOT sold in Canada, There web site says contact the USA site for Questions.
People Need to Understand
Grace's Perfect Blend and when Pat was alive He lost the court case against K.F.C. New Age after he changed the Name from K.F.C. and C.H.S. Passed away.
Pat had the Original recipe which they were using to make chicken. When they lost the court case They had to limit the Ingredient in there Seasoned Flour
Maximum 5 Spices and Herbs, Not including Salt, Pepper, M.S.G. (Tarragon was also Barred from use specifically and NOT allowed even in the 5 that could be used)
They Could NOT obtain a court order related to amount of spices or herbs or amount used etc. ONLY limited to 5 Individual Spices or Herbs Maximum or 8 when counting the Salt, Pepper, M.S.G.
K.F.C New Age has indicated that Spice and Herb, Salt were 6% of total Flour mix ? That may be related to the NEW AGE BLEND

It should hopefully be officially available in Canada soon. My understanding is that all the paperwork has finally been sorted but still some details to iron out in terms of shipping. |

We have experienced the 99x shipped to Canada is very expensive with shipping?
and 99x is NOT shipping Seasoned Flour ?

I didn't even bother getting a price quote to ship from the US since there would likely be import fees on top of that. Once it is officially available in Canada, it should be much more reasonable. I think the cost to ship within Canada is a flat rate of 20 dollars, up 5kg. So you could potentially order 4 1kg pouches and the shipping would be that same flat rate. Hopefully it's as simple as that. |

Yes Both have similar taste to a K.F.C.
BUT understand they ARE mixed to a AFTER COURT case loss and were forced to change the Ingredient and limit items ? so it will NOT taste like the ORIGINAL
This is something that is OVERLOOKED and NOT given credit for
Ken's Recipe aka Dustin recipe, Todd Wilbur's, Eula recipe and Claudia L recipe. ALL HAVE some taste of K.F.C. (Kens and Todd are closer to a NEW AGE style K.F.C. while Eula and Claudia are more the Original OLD style cooking)
Even Silvers Recipes have had K.F.C. similarity's
Just My observation BUT I Do Not know anything about Chicken We only cooked 1500Lbs of Chicken wings Last Month and 2000Lbs of other cuts of Chicken

After all the attention of the Glen and Friends video they did alter a line of text to say that it was not the original recipe but I believe that's just to cover their backside. I prepared some Grace's for the kids and I over the weekend. For my money, it's KFC or as close as I'm going to get with my home cooking equipment. Any shortcomings were strictly due to my cooking. haha I reduced the heat a little too soon and didn't get a nice finish on the skin...will correct that next time though. In any case, it hit the taste buds in the ways I remember from before the colonel died when I was a kid. I'll never be sure if it's exactly the same, that was a long time ago but when I bit into it, those memories came flooding back. It's better than modern day KFC by leaps and bounds, that's for sure. |
