I Do Not know why my E-mail and Message was flooded with questions about the Kentucky Fried chicken Color from the 1960's to 1970's and 1980's
From as far back as the 1960's Being around the KFC Franchise that was introduced to Canada in Alberta Specifically.
The Chicken was a Rose Color Hue with Green Flecks of Herbs -and- Black speck Pepper Specks that were smaller then the Later KFC NEW AGS KFC after Brown and Massey Time
The Term Golden Brown Chicken Did NOT COME ABOUT until Later with the Term Crispy Chicken.
The BEST Color claimant was Gloria P she called it the Rose Color chicken after C.H.S. told her what term to Call the color HE WANTED to avoid the Term RED as people were confused with the Red Curing Color that was around the BONE in the same time period which caused TONS of complaints about under cooked chicken EVERY MOTHER complained about at Sunday Supper. IT was Mandatory to Temp check the chicken temp on 4 pieces of Chicken pulled from the Pressure pots AFTER a 5 Minute resting time period.
THE RED ROSE color was contributed to the Paprika which they found was Discoloring the Oil after it changed to the Vegetable Oil FROM the BEEF TALLOW which was Originally Used.
NOW if you believe in the 1985 Commemorative Vials ONE needs to analyze A-K or 1 -11 Vials and determine a Color associated with such said vial Letter or number BUT they are labeled A-K . If they Hold true to accurate Herbs and Spices then color should help in the break down How many Red, Yellow, Green ETC ETC ETC
Cross reference the Napkin to color of item and reference it that to the Pea Tray Colors ETC ETC ETC.
Then take a look at the Black Vial and start looking at OLD 1950 Jars of Garlic which HAVE spice in it FROM 1950 or earlier. and see what color the Garlic is compared to a sealed vial in a acrylic sealed case.
I thought TC23 34 36 what ever Number determined the Spice and Herb bags of early showed Red they Did 50 post on the Old Wayback Chicken forum that spoke about the Red color of the ORIGINAL
Willy might be-able to Help with the color of His oldest Bag seasoning
