Did you use Tablespoon or Teaspoon to cross over to Grams ?
with a 3 to 1 comparison between the teaspoon and tablespoon it would be drastic difference in spice over all volume BUT both should produce the same final taste just 3 times as much ?

Teaspoons! That's the only possible way for it to make any sense.

Missing essentials (IMHO) are:
16.0 grams Salt (additional) 7.25 grams MSG 0.50 grams Anise Seed 0.30 grams Mace 0.22 grams Clove

Or perhaps all that is missing (beyond the additional Salt and MSG) is merely ~1 gram of Chinese 5-Spice Powder. Might that make 5-Spice Powder the famous "two handfuls"? Which (in not being present) would date Ledington's to before circa 1952. And perhaps all the way back to 1939. Didn't a KFC representative say that the Settle's recipe (which I might speculate to be the same as Ledington's, and particularly more so if both are authentic CHS penned recipes) seemed to be missing about 5 ingredients.
If you were going to write down a famous recipe, wouldn't you likely leave something out?

19.64 grams - 6.47 grams of Paprika = 13.17 grams = ~13 grams 13 grams x 2 = 26 grams Grams to Ounces, and bingo, 26 Ounces!
Or toss in the recipe referenced ~13 grams of Salt whereby to make it right close to 40 Ounces!
Coincidence? (twice)

I proposed in the radical idea thread that Ledington and Winston's could have been the same. It could also include the Settle's as well. In all cases it is possible that the same ingredients where missing. I think it is worth consideration. I believe that the Ledington recipe is not all teaspoons, mostly but not all.

My way of Doing ALL mathematic Amounts goes back to when they used over/under scales and Pharmacy Old days
All ingrediencies weighted to 100%
Sheldon Story is the one which highlight that Spice and Herb measurement 100% and your NOT worried about .025637366522 of a gram
