I'm beginning to consider a shift away from Eugenol and over toward Caryophyllene as the 'potential' primary source of the note. This is being driven via the list of Caryophyllene carriers as compared to common lists of possible KFC_OR ingredients. Caryophyllene seems to match the potential KFC list quite nicely overall.

Note also comes from the spices in the Oil that has been absorbed.
Over the Thanksgiving we were pressure cooking outside.
Pressure cooking Ribs with a seasoned flour 11 Flavors and Taste.
Also were doing chicken tenders for the kids.
The Turkey was cooked old fashion oven with the 11 Flavor and Taste in it.
when everyone was coming in the Back yard they ALL said things smell so great.
The only thing being heated up was the OIL. NO food the Oil from last cooking had so much infused aroma stored that released upon heating.
I have posted this exact type of result many times.
The Peppers, Garlic, Onion, Have high aroma, Allspice, Clove, Mace have huge Aroma,
Caraway, Dill and Dill Seed are VERY powerful also
the flour was mixed with spices and I took a pinch of the seasoned flour and tasted it. I immediately added more spices as it was BLAND. some family saw me taste the flour and though I was crazy. So I got them to try the flour mix before and after I mixed more spice.
The majority were shocked to taste the seasoned flour. I said its just seasoned flour it won't kill you. Unless a 50Lbs Bag falls on your head from the second floor.
The ones who tastes both flours agreed on simple taste test before using flout more seasoning was needed and the salt was OK prior to mixing more seasoning in.
Taste your seasoned Flour.
