There is a Mixed Peppercorn Blend some Spice companies sell
which includes Black, White, Red Peppercorns as a Blend.

Could the first of the green leaf items be Tarragon? No. Even at an early stage, tarragon leaves look different. This should be thyme. At a certain age or when facing cultural problems, the stems turn brown and woody. Doesn't mean tarragon isn't in the full recipe though.

Tarragon is a Great Spice and KFC did use it in many receipt.
The Only thing I would suggest is look back into the 1935 - 1940 Time Era Tarragon was available BUT more a fresh item.
It was used BUT Look to see what you can find for supplies available in 1939 for dried Tarragon ?
Basil which is one of the close Items fits in the same similar taste ? I always say what was AVAILABLE in 1939 like Bill S from Marion Kay told CHS.
CHS said the Items were Common Pantry Item's ?
was it a common enough item of was it used more in the other Recipes like the Coleslaw and also got into the chicken ?
My Question is how easy was it to obtain in 1939?

I'm at it again with a new thought as to a revised basic building block coating: If one assumes that the 26 ounce bag contained ~2.8 ounces of salt in it (since the bags state MSG, Salt, Herbs & Spices) and one halves this and then makes the ounce to gram conversion required to scale for 200 grams of flour 'mix', one gets 13 grams in the "bag" with 1.4 of those being salt. That leaves 11.6 grams remaining for MSG plus herbs & spices. Accomplishing this was targeted for the recipe posted here.

Note: In the USA Cilantro is what we call the leaves and Coriander is what we call the seeds, but in many other locations both the plant/leaves and the seeds are referred to as Coriander. I just wanted to note that in all of my recipes with Coriander, I mean the seeds, and not the leaves of the plant.
