We were out grocery shopping today and a tin of Colman's Double Superfine Mustard Powder caught my eye, so I nabbed it.

For condiment Mustard I'm thinking of mixing the following (since the tin states to mix equal parts water and Colman's):
1 TSP Water 1 TSP White Wine Vinegar 1 TSP Dill or Kosher Pickle Juice 1 TBSP Colman's Double Superfine Powder
Any idea as to whether or not this combination might make for a respectable spreadable condiment type Mustard.

Maybe tarragon in it’s place?

You might add just a pinch of sugar to your mustard mix.

You might add just a pinch of sugar to your mustard mix. Now that's cruel.

I made this mixture up yesterday and it is ungodly HOT!

Yesterday we purchased a small jar of Colman's prepared condiment Mustard. After having it on a sandwich for lunch today I can now inform you that the prepared stuff is seriously wimpy in heat value vs. their powdered Mustard product. Only about 1/10 the heat value as a first guess. I was seriously let down, and I feel ripped off.
